About Artist

Anooratn Rai is a distinguished Hindustani Classical Vocalist from a renowned musical lineage. He is the son and closest disciple of the legendary "Naad-Nritya Yogi" Acharya Pandit Anupam Rai Ji. Representing the Rampur Sahaswan and Seniya Maihar gharanas, Anooratn excels in multiple genres of Hindustani classical music, including Khayal, Jaati Gaayan, Prabandh Gaayan, Dhruvpad-Dhamar, Thumri, Dadra, Bhajan and Sufi styles. Known for his ability to balance the "Ras" of Raag, build rhythmic crescendos, and express emotions through Swara, Anooratn is celebrated for his fast and intricate Taankaari, a result of his rigorous training. He has also performed internationally in cities such as London, Chicago, San Francisco, and New Jersey. Contribution to Music Education: Anooratn teaches Hindustani Classical Music at the Anupam Academy of Performing Arts in Mumbai, offering training to students in India and abroad through regular sessions, workshops, and digital platforms. Apart from performing, Anooratn has contributed to the arts by organizing music and dance festivals as part of Sangeetanjali, a cultural organization founded by his father. He has also participated in corporate events for major organizations like BHEL, NTPC, Tata, and PNB.
